ATI Speed Bands

Backed by the most recent science-based technology, the ATI Speed Band was developed for athletes who want and need speed. It's used to improve upper and lower body speed, and can be implemented into any sport-specific program. Kit comes in three models: Junior, Senior and Pro.

Recommended Ages

• Junior Speed Bands - 11 to 13 yrs.

Benefits
The ATI Speed Bands are specially designed to have a direct causal effect on sprint speed (University research has demonstrated statistically significant results on sprint performance - Andre, et al. 2010). The Speedband can be attached to the ankle to work each leg independently in either a resistance mode or an overspeed mode. By working each leg independently each cycle of the leg can be assessed for mechanical correctness which induces optimal sprint mechanics. The Speedband can also be attached to the arms to enhance the speed and cycling of the arm swing. Increasing the speed of the arms produces a concomitant increase in the speed of the legs. No other speed development system is designed to increase both arm and leg speed which are both vital to improving overall sprint speed.
